MAPEX Climate action – FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY – aims to fight poverty and the conditions that engenders it, like climate change. Climate concerns us all. It affects our lives and can have very negative effects on our economy. The price to be paid is getting incrementally higher. Do we need a homeopathic solution or a revolution? Climate change is the result of an increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Indeed, in recent years we have seen an exponential increase in greenhouse gas emissions because of the irrational activities of humans. These include: Global warming, Melting of glaciers, Ecosystems destroyed, Species made extinct, Droughts, Respiratory & infectious diseases, Hurricanes, cyclones and typhoons, Fewer sources of drinkable water, Populations affected by this scourge migrating to other areas.
